About Shape Shift

Shape Shift is a reflex game with a novel core mechanic: your character hurtles down a procedurally generated neon tunnel and must instantly toggle between two or more geometric shapes to match the cutout holes in approaching walls. The challenge is not just the toggle timing but shape identification — recognizing in a fraction of a second which shape the wall cutout represents and whether your current shape matches. This dual recognition-plus-response task makes Shape Shift significantly more cognitively demanding than timing-only reflex games, as it adds a perceptual classification step that must be completed within the reaction window.
