About Metro Planner

Metro Planner challenges you to grow a small settlement into a thriving metropolis by managing budget allocation, infrastructure development, zoning decisions, and population happiness simultaneously. Unlike simple clicker games where growth is linear, Metro Planner models the nonlinear dynamics of actual city development: infrastructure investments create capacity for population growth that generates tax revenue for further investment, but overbuilding infrastructure ahead of population creates budget deficits. The game's scenarios are inspired by real urban development case studies, including the infrastructure paradox, housing density tradeoffs, and the tension between industrial capacity and residential quality of life.
