Star Blink is a rhythm-based reaction game where you must tap celestial objects that pulse in synchronization with an underlying musical beat. The game's design insight is that tapping with the beat feels fundamentally more natural than tapping to arbitrary visual cues, creating a flow state where reactions feel less like reflexes and more like musical participation. This entrainment effect — the tendency of the brain to synchronize its internal rhythms to external auditory patterns — is the same mechanism exploited by rhythm games like Guitar Hero, but implemented here in a much more accessible casual format.
