Chess Master is a complete, rules-accurate chess game you can play instantly in your browser — against a computer opponent or against a friend on the same device. Every official rule is implemented: castling on both wings, en passant captures, pawn promotion to any piece, check, checkmate, stalemate, threefold repetition, the fifty-move rule and insufficient-material draws. The AI searches ahead with alpha-beta pruning and weighs material alongside piece placement, and its strength follows the Easy, Medium and Hard setting: Easy plays loose, beginner-style moves, while Hard looks three moves deep and punishes hanging pieces. Legal moves are highlighted when you select a piece, the last move and any check are marked on the board, and a live move list records the game in standard algebraic notation. You can undo moves to explore alternatives, flip the board, play as White or Black, and review the final position after the game ends. Faster wins against stronger settings earn higher scores.
