About Air Hockey
Air Hockey brings the classic arcade table game to the browser with realistic puck physics including friction, bank shots off the side walls, and momentum transfer during paddle-to-puck collisions. Unlike the real table where the air cushion creates frictionless puck movement, this version models a low-friction surface that still retains puck velocity between collisions, rewarding aggressive positioning and hard shots to the corners. Strategic play involves creating unpredictable shot angles using bank shots and feinting movements to draw the opponent out of position before striking the open corner. The AI opponent uses position-optimized defensive positioning and opportunistic counterattacking.
